Outlook Known issues in May 2024 updates

Microsoft Outlook is one of the best-known business-class email clients from Microsoft. It is a feature-rich application that allows users to manage multiple email accounts, calendars, contacts, and tasks. Outlook also offers several advanced features, like email tracking, read receipts, and email templates, making it a powerful tool for managing email-based workflows. However, sometimes, it can experience connectivity issues, especially when using a Microsoft 365 account.

Outlook known issues in the Nov 2017 updates

Outlook Known issues in March 2023 updates

I had picked up on this in the blog post Microsoft Outlook 365 or other MS 365 apps are dropping suddenly errors. Microsoft had confirmed the issue for Windows Server 2016 and 2019 credential loop in Microsoft 365 and recommended a downgrade. You can also add the secondary connected accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) in Outlook.com as additional accounts in the Outlook profile. Your antivirus software can also cause issues with Outlook connectivity.

Until you can install the Windows Update fix release, you can set a registry key that will cause Outlook to stop using the local Windows Search service. When this registry key is set, Outlook will use its own built-in search engine. The built-in search will display the message below to indicate it is not using the Windows Search service. To access the calendar shared with your Microsoft 365 for business account, you'll need to accept the invitation from Outlook on the web, iOS, or Android. If you've already clicked the Accept button in Outlook 2016, you won't be able to re-accept the invitation from another Outlook application.
